Dynamic ShotMakerCamera rigs that follow and frame your subject
Dynamic ShotMaker adds eight camera rigs to Blender. Give a camera a Move Target and an Aim Target and it moves, frames and focuses on its own. Shake, Feel presets, a shot timeline and render tools are included.
Blender 4.5 LTS and 5.x

SEQUENCE · TAP A SHOT TO JUMP

No bones to wire, no curves to fight.
Add camera from view
Frame it in the viewport and click once. One-click rig setup.
Give it targets
A Move Target to follow and an Aim Target to look at: any object, armature or bone.
Press play
The camera moves, frames and focuses on its own.
Pick a rig to see it move.
◆ Eight move types, each with its own tunables.
◆ Natural camera lag mimics a camera operator.
◆ Target blending blends from one target to another.
◆ Everything that moves can be keyframed.
◆ Lightweight: built on native Blender constraints.

◆ Aim composition rules: lock the target in any quadrant.
◆ Framing zone lets the subject drive the camera.
◆ Auto zoom keeps subjects in frame, or set a min/max comfort zone.
◆ Screen-based framing on any object, armature or bone.
◆ Raycast depth of field: rays hit the geometry in frame. No guesswork.
◆ Focus table and rack focus blend between multiple targets.
◆ DoF visualizer shows the focus distance so you can offset it.
◆ One click sets the rig type, Move and Aim on/off, and the numeric rig settings.
◆ Saved to disk in Blender’s user config: available in every .blend and kept through add-on updates.
◆ Your scene stays yours. Presets never store scene objects such as targets, rail curves or cable anchors.

◆ Six-axis camera shake with a visualizer in the viewport.
◆ Impulse-based shake: time hits to explosions, with a natural decay.
◆ Lens breathing tied to shake, so a shaky shot gets an imperfect lens too.
◆ Shake presets you can save and export.
A sequencer timeline to cut, duplicate and arrange a sequence of cameras, with a colour row per camera and keyframes under every shot.

◆ Shot, Cut, Remove, Auto-switch in the Timeline header.
◆ Hotkeys on strips: K cut, Shift+D duplicate, M enable, X remove.
◆ Drag and trim with snapping to neighbouring shots.
◆ Keyframe lanes with curve ramps under the shots.
◆ Shot naming: custom, or by order and cut (1-1, 2-1).
◆ Play Sequence plays every shot in order.

◆ Picture-in-picture preview follows your render format, vertical included.

◆ Camera manager to organize and rename cameras.
◆ Render suite shows how much render time is left. Blender doesn’t; DSM does.
◆ Rig health check verifies and cleans rigs in older files.
◆ Smoke test checks the add-on on your machine.
◆ Copy Debug Report captures what’s needed to fix a problem; send it through the message link on this page.
